Pat Rose,
chair and professor of the Department of Advertising & Public
Relations at FIU, came to academe after spending 25 plus years
in the 'real world.' She was the first female vice-president
in Account Manager at N.W. Ayer - working on AT&T, the Bahamas
Ministry of Tourism account, and the original Pan Am - with
responsibility for Latin America and the Pacific divisions.
Later, just after the deregulation of the airline industry,
she became Director of Marketing for a start-up airline, Air
Atlanta. Pat has published numerous articles on Integrated Marketing
Communications, including IMC in select Latin American countries.
Other publication topics are Spanish language advertising and
international communications and marketing, with an emphasis
on Latin America. Rose is past-president of the Greater Miami
Chapter of Ad Fed, a Board member of the South Florida Chapter
of IAA, a member of PRSA, and belongs to numerous academic organizations.
She is currently head of the advertising division of AEJMC.
