Dr. Marla
Stafford received her Ph.D. in marketing from the University
of Georgia. Her research has focused on such topics as services
advertising, Internet advertising and the new media. She has
published in such journals as the Journal of Advertising,
Journal of Retailing, Journal of Current Issues and
Research in Advertising and Journal of Business Research,
among others.
Prior to
joining the University of Memphis in 2001, Dr. Stafford was
at the University of North Texas, where she was the recipient
of several teaching and research awards, including the UNT Student
Association Honor Professor Award and the Professional Development
Institute Research Fellowship. Prior to entering academia, Dr.
Stafford worked for such companies as Tupperware Worldwide and
Philip Crosby Associates.
