Hugh Cannon
is the Adcraft/Simons-Michelson Professor of Marketing at Wayne
State University, a position he has held since 1988. He holds
MBA (1973) and Ph.D. (1979) degrees from New York University,
and an AB from Brigham Young University (1969). He is a frequent
contributor to the advertising and marketing literature, having
published and/or presented more than 135 articles in scholarly
journals, books, or conferences over the past 20 years. His
professional experience includes media communications work with
Leo Burnett, Texas Instruments, CPM, Bonneville Media Communications,
and Marsteller, as well as a number of other consulting assignments
with other private and public organizations.
