Betty J. Parker
Western Michigan University

Dr. Betty J. Parker is Associate Professor of Marketing in the Haworth College of Business at Western Michigan University. Her research has been published in the Journal of Advertising, the Journal of Segmentation in Marketing, the Journal of Promotion Management and proceedings of the American Academy of Advertising and the Marketing and Public Policy Conference. She is currently conducting research about health claims in food advertisements, marketing on the Internet, and the marketing of nutritional supplements in the U.S. and China. She received a Ph.D. from the University of Missouri in 1994 after several years in international marketing in the computer industry.
